Patti Overholt Fine Art
Originally trained as a portrait artist in St. Petersburg, Florida, I discovered a love for Plein Air Painting when I moved to Pensacola to finish my degree in Art Education. Because I grew up in Florida, I naturally love the beaches, bayous and bays. My favorite places are the slightly wild, untamed beaches and bays around the world.
Recently, I have gone full circle back to my roots to include Impressionist portraits and Abstracted figurative paintings in my work. I even do some Abstracts when I feel like it.
I have enjoyed teaching Art in public schools and colleges including Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida, where I was an art Adjunct for 12 years in The Continuing Education Department.
I live and work from my studio on the bay in NW Florida along with my husband, a cat named Zsa Zsa Gabor Overholt, and three dogs, B'Aire, Flora Mae and Kevin Von Weinerschnitzle, the later two "inherited" from our daughter.
I paint what I love: People Faces, and Places and I hope that my artwork brings back a memory or feeling that connects you to something you love.
